The treatment

Colour, not lipstick.

Lips lose definition and colour over time. Lip blush puts a soft wash of pigment back into the lip itself, so the edge reads clearly and the colour looks like yours on a good day — not like makeup sitting on top.

Lip Blush

A soft, buildable wash of colour through the lip, finished with a natural edge. Kellen works conservatively on the first pass — it is always easier to add depth at the touch-up than to take it away.

Dark Lip Neutralisation

For lips carrying deep or grey-toned natural pigment. The tone is warmed and corrected across more than one session before colour is built. Assessed in person, never quoted blind.

Real results

Before, after, and healed.

Fresh lip work always looks bolder than the healed result. These are Kellen’s own clients, shown at both stages so you can judge the work honestly rather than on day-one photos alone.

The appointment

What the day actually looks like.

1 · Consultation first

Always. Kellen looks at your natural lip tone in daylight, talks through what is realistic for your skin, and answers the questions you were too embarrassed to type into Google. You book the appointment afterwards, or you do not.

2 · Shape and shade, agreed

The outline is drawn on and the pigment is mixed to your undertone before a single needle touches the lip. Nothing begins until you have looked in the mirror and said yes.

3 · The work, unhurried

One client in the room, no queue behind you. Numbing is topped up as needed. Kellen builds colour in light passes rather than one heavy layer.

4 · Healing and touch-up

You leave with a written aftercare card. Colour looks strong for a few days, then softens as the lips flake. The touch-up is booked once everything has settled, so the final tone is judged on healed skin.

“I’ve been getting my eyebrows done by Kellen and recently had a lip blush appointment with her a few weeks ago, I absolutely loved the result. She is incredibly talented, and every appointment is such a good experience.”

FAQ

Lip blush, answered.

Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that places soft pigment into the lips to bring back colour and definition. It is not lipstick and it is not a filler - nothing is injected and the lips are not made bigger. It reads as your own lip colour, a little more awake.

Lips are more sensitive than brows, so a topical numbing cream is used throughout. Most clients describe it as a strange vibrating sensation rather than sharp pain, and many find the appointment far calmer than they expected.

It is semi-permanent, not permanent. How long it holds depends on your skin, your lifestyle and how closely you follow aftercare. Kellen will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation rather than a number that fits everyone.

Some lips carry natural deep or grey-toned pigment, often melanin-rich lips. Neutralisation is a corrective process that warms that tone first, over more than one session, before any colour is built. It is a different treatment to a standard lip blush and it is assessed in person.

Colour looks noticeably stronger for the first few days, then softens considerably as the lips heal and flake. The healed result is much lighter than day one. A touch-up appointment is booked after healing so the final tone can be judged on settled skin, not fresh work.

Tell Kellen at your consultation. Lip tattooing can trigger a flare-up in people who are prone to cold sores, and it is something to plan for with your doctor beforehand rather than discover after.
